Home to a large number of important government offices, Allahabad is one of the most prominent towns in Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad, today is an important city where history, culture and religion create a confluence. The city has some beautiful remnants of colonial architecture. Demographics
As per 2001 census, Allahabad City has a population of 1,050,000 with about 580,000 males and 470,000 females. It is the 32nd most populous city in India.

Climate of Allahabad
Allahabad experiences all four seasons. The maximum temperature in summer (April-June) is between 40 & 45°C. Monsoon begins in early July and lasts till September. The winter (December-February) temperatures could drop to freezing with maximum at almost 12 to 14 °C. It does not snow in Allahabad. Lowest temperature recorded so far was -2°C and the highest was 48°C.
