
Located
on the west coast of India in the coastal belt known as Konkan, the
beautiful city of Goa attained statehood in 1987 and it is the smallest
state in the country, after Delhi, in terms of area. Beautiful beaches,

Demographics
The present a population of Goa is 1.34 million (2001 census) making it
India's fourth smallest populous state after Sikkim, Mizoram and
Arunachal Pradesh. The sex ratio is 960 females to 1000 males.
Climate in Goa
Goa's climate is pleasant and normal throughout the year. The
temperature generally ranges from mean minimum of 20 degree celcius to
mean maximum of 35 degree celcius. Monsoon enters normally in the first
week of June. The State receives good rainfall mostly during June to
September period.

India. It has one airport, the Dabolim Airport, which is a military
airport. In addition to regular flights, the airport handles a large

Education in Goa
As per 2001 census, Goa has a high literacy rate of 82.32%, with female
literacy rate at 75.51% and male 88.88%. Goa has large number of

a catering institute. Goa Medical College is among the oldest in Asia
