
The
Fort City of Gwalior is situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Occupying a strategic location in the Gird region of North India, the
city with its fortress has served as the center of several of North
India's historic kingdoms. It is the administrative headquarters of
Gwalior district and Gwalior division.

The climate of Gwalior is extreme with hot summers and cold winters.
The maximum temperature during the summer months can be as high as 46
degree celcius, while in the winters it can go down to below 5 degree

till August-September.

This station receives Shatabdi trains and the Royal Palace on
