known as the "Orange capital of India", Nagpur is the second
capital of Maharashtra. It is the largest city Central India and the
third largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra after Mumbai and
Pune. The year 2002 marked the completion of Nagpur's 300 years of

Climate in Nagpur
Since, Nagpur is located far away from any major water body in the
centre of the Indian peninsula, the climate of the city is dry or mildly
humid for most of the year except for the rainy season. Summer begins in
March and ends in June, with temperatures peaking in the month of May.
Summers in Nagpur are extremely hot, with temperature around 40°C.
Winter lasts from November to January, during which the temperature
drops below 10°C.
