 Patna
is the capital of the Indian state of Bihar. Initially known as
Pataliputra, Patna is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in
the world.

According to 2001 census, the population of Patna is over 1,285,470.
There are 839 females to every 1000 males.
Climate in Patna
As in most of Bihar, the summer temperature in Patna rise very high.
The city, being near four large rivers, experiences high humidity
throughout the year. The summer begins in April and ends in July with
the temperature rising up to 46°C. During winter, the temperature
is around 20 °C to 6 °C.

available.
- Rail : Patna is situated on the main line of
the Eastern Railway and is directly connected by rail with Calcutta,
