Vijayawada

is surrounded by hills in the wet and the canal in the north and has

- Rail : It is one of the busiest railway
junction of South India. It is situated along the Chennai- Howrah
and Chennai-Delhi rail route. Vijayawada is the largest railway
junction of the South Central Railway. There are a number of express
and super fast trains that connect Vijayawada with almost all the
important places of the country.
- Air : The domestic airport located at
Gannavaram is a domestic airport of Vijayawada which is situated
about 20-km, from the city. It connects Vijayawada to Hyderabad and
Vishakhapatnam. It's about a 30-minute flight from Hyderabad.
