Journey I had to take for my father that also helped me fulfil my goals

I have seen my father as a very hardworking person. He always used to make strategies in his small business to get maximum returns and profit. Not only was he my inspiration, but I saw him as a teacher who taught his kids to make their way to success.

My father opened a grocery store later when I was in 11th and his zeal to achieve something in life and make his family’s life better was praiseworthy. He started his business in full swing, and within a few months, our grocery store was flourishing with customers and profits. It was the summer of 2011, and my father was finally happy that his hard work paid off, and now he could work in one straight direction to make a living for his family.

For the next few years, his business did well, and our family could spend and save handsome amount of money. We went on family trips, bought a new car, and even renovated our house according to the latest trends and family’s essential needs. My two elder sisters were married off, and I was in my final year of college. Life became relatively mundane, but it was still smooth, and my father's grocery store was still working fine for the entire family's needs.

The online stores started to take over the offline business, and in 2016-17, my father's business started to incur losses. My father was devastated and heartbroken by how things changed suddenly. Our grocery store, which was rented, was shut down within 1.5 years. My father had a minor heart attack. He was worried about our family's future thinking about how our family will survive without a fixed source of income.

My studies were finished by then and I post graduated in business studies. With my knowledge and education as my assets and my father’s experience to back me, I decided to restart my father's business but in a reformed way. That required me to take all his old equipment and belongings to a new store to open a new aged grocery store. I had completed my master's in business studies and had some experience in a renowned company.

I looked for an ideal location to re-establish my father's business and turn it into a grocery showroom from a regular store.
